Steven Lyle - Company Director

Steven is our company director and has accumulated a respectable 33 years of experience within the construction industry. Steven started out modestly on the tools at 16 years old, and now, is the director of one of Ayrshire’s most well-established bricklaying subcontractor companies. Steven is committed to investing in his workforce and continues to provide employment opportunities for much of the local and surrounding areas. Steven is a well-respected and efficacious entrepreneur within his field with deep-rooted industry knowledge and experience which has become the foundation of continuing success for SLBC Limited. Yet, Steven is still as humble, get him out on the tools and he could lay brick just as fast and well as when he was 16.

Libby Lyle - Operations Manager

Libby Lyle - Operations Manager

Libby is our Operations Manager and started working for SLBC in 2003, racking up 18 years of experience within the construction industry. Libby oversees all business operations including health and safety, training, customer care and supplier and client relations. This woman ensures smooth day-today running of our business and that can be a complex and challenging task at times, especially as the wife of the managing director… It is a good thing Libby has been to Everest meaning no mountain or task is too big.

Kelly Donnelly - Accounts Manager

Kelly is our accounts manager and has been since 2003. You could say she is in with the bricks and mortar! Kelly has been managing our accounts since before SLBC Limited was SLBC Limited. As an integral part of the business, Kelly oversees invoicing, wages, tendering and claim recording. It is important to note, there is no better number cruncher than her… ‘’To the penny or not at all’’ is her mantra and we could not do what we do without her.

Samuel Hamilton - contracts manager

Sam started working as a bricklayer for SLBC Limited before putting down the tools in 2018 to become our Site Supervisor and moving swiftly on to becoming our Contracts Manager. Sam has an array of skills and experience from bricklaying to health and safety and we are proud to have him managing our sites. Sam is a well-respected Contracts Manager and maintains this reputation whichever development he works on by ensuring our sites and workforce are safe, happy, and progressing. And if you have worked with Sam previously, you will know that you hear him before you see him with his infamous Coronation Street Theme Song ringtone!

Lee Hamilton - Assistant Site Supervisor

Lee started working for SLBC in 2014 as a subcontractor. Lee is a confident, skilled, and valuable tradesman who has continued to prove his aptitude and ability within the industry. In 2021, Lee took on the role of Assistant Site Supervisor & Trainer, shadowing Sam and providing our Modern Apprentices with the training and skills they need to progress within the industry. Lee, like his Dad, is the backbone when it comes to the smooth running of our sites and provision of training on site.

Eve Parker - Marketing & Admin Assistant

Eve Parker - Marketing & Admin Assistant

Eve started working for SLBC Limited in September 2020. Eve works part-time in the office and oversees the support of all administrative tasks in the office. Eve recently graduated with a Master of Science in Digital Marketing Management and puts her experience gained at university into designing and maintaining our website, whilst creating content for SLBC Ltd’s LinkedIn and Blog. Eve also ensures everything in our office is labelled and colour coded, even the shelves!
